has anyone got a drawing / sketch of the front cycle wing stays? i keep braking my stuart taylor ones and wish to make a modded pair.
I would be interested in this too. They are on my "need" list.
heh heh still trying to come up with a nice design!
Will post when I have!
made my own, and have had two crack next to the welds, gonna try brazing the next set, see if that helps.
MNR make the best ones I have seen, very very nice but designed for their longer-wrap cycle wings. These will not crack, but may not suit your wings.
Thanks, i'll check them out, still waiting to see the rorty/mnr uprights, hopefully with revised geometry over the tina units.

Maybe a dumb question but has anyone tried a bit of spring steel? That way it can flex enough to deal with the fatigue If done right it should not contact the tire (often ). Wouldn't be able to weld it though.
I never had a problem after joining the 2 arms together with a piece of flat bar with a whole drilled thru it for the top ball joint too pass thru,
this steadied the ship.
Join the club, missing front wings are the cars way of initiating you too 7 world.
missing wings are ok.its just the way they pass your ear at 100mph! im sure the wingstays felx allowing something like the wing bolts to touch the tyre at speed ripping them off
Pair of wing stays from MK. After 7,000 miles and an accident they're still going strong.
i temporarily owned some MK ones, they looked very solid - the bendy bit at the top was 6mm bar, very strong, but not necessarily easy to shape to the
wing.
Myself, i cant stand the 7 look im going enclosed wheels next time.
