Nice!!
Chris, looking good so far.

Might just be an optical illusion but something about that roll cage looks iffy
Nice headlight mounts though
looks good on photo but really awesome in the flesh should be a stunner mate when done getting a bit jealous i need a new project
Bob,
Probably just because it has the side impact bars built into it so it means the front of the cage is slightly wider than the rear.
Looks really nice, look forward to seeing it all completed and at one of the shows.
Rich.
Pat, have you got another shot at a different angle? Its probably an optical illusion or that for me its early in t'morning, but it does look as
if its going to be a feat of agility to get in and get out of the car......
Could be I haven't got me eyes in right this morning!

Looks ok to me. Bit of a Dukes of Hazard thisng going on but the entry looks big enough to me.

Yup all is clear now thanks Flak!
No problem at all with getting in and getting out of that.
Looking very, very nice!

Looks very nice indeed!!!
Now just to be a bloody picky bugger:
Sorry to be a pain now, and just ignore me everybody, but I'm not keen on two bits of the cage. The front corners of the front roll bar are not
braced at the outer ends, and there's no bracing between the "kink" in the front roll hoop verticals. Land hard on it and it will crush
at those points.
Minor point as my car doesn't even have a cage, only a braced bar, and a seven is very light so the cage doesn't have too much to do, but if
you are putting the weight of a cage on, may as well brace it as best as poss??
sorry to be picky, meant as constructive not derogatory!
Here ya go, not much more weight but MUCH stronger.
Wouldn't like to be in the car if it needed to be but then catering for disaster is always a good idea!
Rest of the car looks bloody fantastic tho!

The top corners of the front roll were what i was looking at too,i'm glad its not just me.
I'm sure i've seen one with a similar design that failed in a crash, might even be in the locost car club newsletter racing archives.
fair point chaps, but i suspect that with the weight of the car, it will just crumple slightly and absorb impact - obviously messing with crumple zones is risky without crash testing, but id be fairly confident of surviving a multiple roll. Bearing in mind the lack of a neck restraint (ie the hans system from f1), a bit of crumple might save a lot of neck ache! Just imagine plowing to a dead stop upside down at 100mph.
Yep gotta agree with you there too NS! It does looks different, but I would be worried without the strength points too. AFAIK, not having perused me
'Blue Book' lately, I don't think it would get through the scroots, as I am not that sure it complies with regs (Q section). I only
mention racing by the way, as I assume having a full cage, thats what it going to be used for.
Should have had more confidence that me eyes were in right the first time this morning and not changed them around!..
