I am just about to attache my rear trailing arms. However when I put them in the bracket with polybush and crush tube fitted there is a gap between
the outer edge and the bracket.
Question is do I just tighten the bracket to reduce the gap or do I put in 2 washers one either side of the crush tube.
My concern is that if I just tighten it that it may deform the bracket unevenly to one side.
Hope this is clear.
Thanks, Andy
Use washers or turn down some ally spacers.
Yep, washers.
.............but bear in mind the bracket may have opened up when welded, just make sure the sides are parallel when the bolt is done up, if it needs washers to achieve this then use them, if not, don't.
Cheers all,
Basically just do what is necessary to keep the brackets parallel when tightened.
many thanks.

depends on the shore rating and precise length of the crush tube
