Just canvassing, has anyone built one of these from the book, are there any major pit falls. I have now looked at the GTS, Rorty and "book". Getting nearer to a decision

Do search it could save you a lot of blood sweat and tears and most importantly cash.

Stick to Uncle Rons book -- it isn't perfect but together with McSorley plans a lot of cars have been built.

And if you search for posts by cymtriks, you can find a nice easy way of strenghtening the chassis far beyond the original design. Or just triangulate everything and you'll be more than fine.

If you are talking about a completely DIY build I would say only do it if you are prepared for a lot of extra work! standard panels and nosecones will not fit so you will need to build your own or buy from Tiger, and their bodywork is their worst point........

You could do worse than ask over on the Tiger forum (http://www.tigerownersclub.co.uk/). However, there seem to have been people there who have struggled with the bodywork on Tiger-supplied chassis, so I'd be very careful before going solely from the Tiger book.

I must admit that I don't like the look of the body work especially the bulge in the bonnet.Not bothered about making my own we do GRP lay here all the time

The bulge is required to clear the Pinto engine which is most commonly used in Avon builds.
