Ive got a couple general quick questions.
1) whats the difference between the all the model types. The tiger avon, mk1, indy, gt, leugo, and so on. They all look pretty much the same to me.
and
2) what ever happened to "Project lmp"??>...I remember it being projectlmp.com, but it doesnt exist anymore. If your out there please let
us know.
thanks guys.
You know when sometimes you read a thread subject and go: "Oh no "
RV1890,
At a general level they're pretty much the same. If you go into it too much then you can start a vicious argument that goes on for weeks!
The differences really come down to the rear axle that's used and slight 'look' differences also the bodywork that fits the particular
manufacturers chassis you've bought.
At the end of the day; of your list, they all use a Sierra donor and Independent Rear Suspension except GTS who use De Dion.
Not sure about the Avon but apart from the Indy the others are all pretty much the same dimensions, the Indy is 1" taller to help fit Pintos
in.
The best thing you can do is:
1) go to the shows and check them all out and visit the factories of the manufacturers.
2) read the posts on here about ease of build, bodywork fit, help from manufacturer etc. etc.
Hope that helps and is 'neutral' enough!!!
Cheers,
James
the MNR chassis has a number of tubes that the MK chassis doesn't have. MNR also do a bike engine chasis where the tunnel doesn't widen at
the front. It doesn't need to as you don't have to make space for a car gearbox. It leaves more room for your feet.
some chassis are wider than others, taking advantage of the extra width of the seirra axle over the escort one.
Steve is still around see http://www.turner-auto-design.com/
Note to admin, please close thread before it gets messy!
MK is the best chassis with a helfire bike engine................
