I've just chopped out the N1 and N2 cockpit side tubes from my chassis (after adding temporary bracing) in order to re-position them sloping down
so they fit my GTS bodywork.
Would it be worth getting some 2mm wall thickness RHS for these tubes to add a little more side protection?

Yeah, decided it's a bit of a waste of time, also not that keen to be welding a heavier gauge section into the middle of a lighter gauage run.
