bigend and myself have been discussing mounts for the harnesses.
We both dont like the way it has been done in the book. we thought that instead of raising the mounts, keep them low and put a 50mm od tube between
the rollbar mounts so the harness comes up and over the bar raising it above your shoulder to pass the S V A.
any thoughts?

Why not do what luego have done and use a horizontal bar as youve said, welded to the roll bar. then mount the harness points on that bar... look at website for more info.
thanks for the reply i will have a look tonight
That's where mine are, bolted underneath then passed over cos they were too long.

There's a picture in photos, back view of car.

There was a post on this before. Just to note...if you are using seats with harness slots the SVA check will be done to the point the belts pass through the seat back.
so if the seat belt mounting is below
the slots on the seats is that a pass?

Speedthing,
I had this concern with my Cobra Roadster 7's.
My top harness mounting is below the SVA fig, but the harness hole is ok. I mentioned to Cobra what I was doing and they said it's what most
Westfield owners do, and if I have any trouble he'd give me his mates no, who had same "problem" but which from what I gather, was ok
(ie passed sva).
I think that if seat is of solid enough construction that the top harness holes count as the top mount for the purposes of SVA.
