Front pick-up points

Hi All,
Apologies if this topic has been covered before but not been on this forum very long (first post). I'm helping build a Locost for a friend and the book drawings for the front suspension leaves quite a bit to the imagination. Unless someone has stolen a page from our copy I can only find dimensions for the brackets from the front of the chassis, with no plan elevation or notes in the text which would enable you to postion the wishbones in the correct place longitudinally along the chassis.
Can anyone tell me what we are missing ??

You need to have a search on this site for front wish bones et al, the book is incorrect in a number of items hence your confusion.

The general consensus is to make a jig that supports the wishbones and use this to place the brackets.

You need to ensure that you get sufficient caster, ie the upright must lean backwards towards the rear by around 7 degree's to ensure that the steering centres.

This link should help.

Make sure you are fully aware of the error in the book wishbones/bracket locations before you actually weld anything
