Crossflow chassis dimensions

Does anyone know -
for a standard 1.3 or 1.6 crossflow engine the book can't seem to make up it's mind whether the gap between G1 and F1 should be 5 inches (in the text) or 7 inches (on 2 of the diagrams).
Thanks
Dave

The information in the book relates to several different builds, using different mechanicals.
I think most people stand the engine and gearbox in the chassis and position the tubes to suit. Thats what I did.
Mine measures five inches between the tubes.

Wait until the end!

For G, Fu1/2 and E as all are affected by other factors.

Chopping them out to correct is a damn site harder than waiting a bit.
