Here's where I hung mine.

Head lamps need to be in line with the axles so they do not hit on lock, on my nose cone the holes for the headlight bar were behind this so I had to
angle the bracket forward.
There are rules on height and width for lights, as long as they are as close as you can get to the wheels on lock thats width taken care of, height is
not an issue.

take a look how I did my indicators, using the lickle motrocylce ones - sear for tiny or mini indictors, propably in SVA section?

I think the bit you should bear in mind is that the measurements are taken from the outside edge of the car and on these cars that is usually deemed to be the rear wheel arches. So IIRC the indicators need to be no more than 400mm from the outside edge, thats from a line parrallel to the rear wheel arches not the front.
