Just a quick one (I hope). I started my build some time ago and have just now got the opportunity to get back on it. I am just finishing off my CAD
model at the moment.
So to get to the point I am using stainless wherever possible on the build. Does anyone have any opinions on stainless for the wishbones (I was
considering 316L, as we have a plentiful supply of various seamless sizes at work)?
Cheers

Missis says I've got to go shopping.
304L & 316L Is what I've used
1/2" NB Sch 10 for top & bottom front & rear top.
3/4" NB Sch 10 for bottom rear.
More info later if you need it.

Thanks 907
I was considering sch 10s, but I was also thinking to go to maybe sch 5s as this is closer to book thickness. The reason being I am building a bec and
I want to save weight where ever possible.
What do you think?
Hi, I'm back.
Right, just popped out and measured a bit.
The 1/2" that I used is 21mm od, 2mm wall.
I don't think that it's OTT for a bone.
Personally, I wouldn't use thinner than that, although mine is a +4 CEC

OK back from the late christmass do (dragged away by the misses before I managed to drink all of the free wine).
I suppose the weight penalty for the slightly thicker tube is minimal compared to the extra piece of mind.
Cheers for the input Paul. I was expecting comments about stress cracking (although I have only experienced it in high chloride environments in my
job)

Mmmm, I make chemical plant for my day job.
Rather than high chloride, with a seven, your more likely to encounter high alcohol environments.
