were can you get a set of chassis designs to fit a grp body
what about a bug chassis with IRS on the back? the super beatle or 1303 has coil struts upfront and the IRS rear. That setup is very close to the 911
and is cheap to tune to race spec.
Water pumpers or the flat 6's can be easly fitted using adaptors and with the 911's fat arse will fit easily.

Dunno, but Syd Bridge would be the person to ask as he was selling one a while ago.

yeah but that has an engine in the front
I'm thinking of doing something like this for my beetle, well maybe a little less involved, once I've finished my locost of course.
the plan is to take a beetle pan cut off the front frame horn and fabricate a new A-Arm front suspension, using the beetle spindles. In the back
I'd do a maching A-arm rear suspension, keeping the rear engined layout, and making use of a porsche box.
the standard rear IRS setup is really very good and lightyears ahead of the old swing axle. You can get ally front beams which also work very well.
V8 backbone beetle chassis could be made to fit I'm sure.

well i was thinking of some kind of space frame and use an audi quattro gearbox so i have a rear engined awd 911, but i like the 1980s kinda 911 shape
witht the higher wings and the more perpendicular lamps, i dont know that much about the 911 design so i dont know when they moved towards the current
shape but i know for sure in the 80's they looked the way i like them, like the shape that there one in the other thread is.
