Hi All

After stripping all the gubbins off my zetec engine today, i thought that i would see how the mounts that i have bought fitted to get an idea of where the engine would sit in the car

...... but i noticed a slight problem! The bolt holes on the bracket dont line up with the holes on the engine very well at all. If it was a few mm then i would just stretch the holes a bit but its not. The exhaust side needs one of the holes moving about 5-6mm and the inlet side needs two holes moving about 10mm.

Before anyone asks yes i am trying to line them up to the correct holes

Im a bit reluctant to redrill the holes where then need to be as the new holes and the old holes will link and leave me the potential of not very stable mounts.

So does anyone have any suggestions for a fix or should i just be looking to send them back (which im a bit reluctant to do as its going to a load of hassle and delay me quite a bit)

Who made them for you??

They are MK ones.....so im a bit suprised TBH.

Maybe a few too many beers were had the night before drilling the holes in them

From what you say they sound like cvh mounts as they are about 10mm out.

If they dont fit what you asked for I cant see why they wouldnt swap them for you if you ask?

They look like they could be from Fiesta.

CVH brackets ?????? - very similar to Zetec
