Threaded Boss size
short track 123 - 1/8/07 at 08:33 AM

I am about to have some threaded boss's made and the company want a lot of cash for just a few.
But if we have a lot (100+) the cost comes down a fair bit.
e.g price
£6.50 each for 4 off ( 20mmO/D x 35mm long with M12 thread )
He did say they would be "about £1.50 less may be more just depends on what material we wanted and how many" but he would price them up properly if I was more serious so my Q. is
Would any one want to do a sort of group buy?
If so what size and thread do people want?
What would people want them making from?
May be we could have a Club Stock ?

Any way if you are intressed or have any comments Email me as I can check that at work as well.

What I need is an M12 (x 1.75) male hose tail. I don't care what material it's in and I'd pay £6.50 if I have to.

I think to M/c that form solid would be a lot more that £ 6.50

If you got an M12 x1.75 bolt you could drill out the center and weld a 6mm O.D tube in.That would cost less.
Would that be any good?

Yeah - that's the way it's going. It just would have been nice in ali or something.

I don't need any but would hazard a guess 7/16"unf for harness/seatbelt mounts might be a popular size as not everyone has a 7/16" tap lying around.

Ned.

Yup, I need some of those so may be interested if you can osrt a good price. Locostparts.net want £6.50 each which seems a hell of a lot. If only I knew how to use my lathe...
