am getting close to fixing the above
given that the to mounts need to be 11mm backwards to book measurements
and MK weld a bit of a strengthener to the top front mount to achieve this

what would be the pros and cons of welding another piece of 1" box section to the rear face of the front upright chassis rail (LA & LB)

I thought that it was 22mm?
I might be wrong.
Can you work out the castor angle change for yourself?
I am sure someone will be along to confirm the difference for you.

My brackets ended up a little off centre so I cut a piece of box at 45deg and then at 45deg the other way
to make a gusset that I then welded in.

Sorry for the crap pic quality but I hope you can see what I mean.

I still ended up making new bones though as it still didn't self centre.
22mm of caster is what I needed to make the car pleasant to drive.

If it will clear your coil over, you can fix the overhanging brackets problem with an extra bit of tube as shown below:
