Engine/gearbox fitting

Gents.... I am in the process of fitting engine and gearbox (xflow and 4 speed). I purchased the engine mounts so I know they are correct. I have manufactured the 3/4"distances pieces for the standard g/box mount and realised that the engine and gearbox are lying in a downward slope from front to rear. Am I correct in thnking that this is how it should be.. as all air will then go to thermostat housing when filling? My only concern is that I think I read somewhere about the diff and end of gearbox being on same vertical plane? I think this cannot happen due the constant changing of ride height when on the road?
Any advice would be welcomed

Not a clue myself, mine slopes down by half an inch. I was concerned that the gbox fluid would slosh out! I guess (hope) i'll find out one day!
