Why have you chosen to make them in Ali Adam?
What is the thickness of the Ali pedal shaft/stem?

I would not make em from ali.. The Mk brake pedal stem is of the order 4 to 6mm steel (can't remember exactly). Using Ali is not going to give as
much strength, and if you can make em strong enough they will probably crack as they age (unless designed with sufficent margin)..

Aluminum is fine as long as it's "thick enough", whatever that is. As a guide, the Tilton unit I have uses 1/2" (12mm) cast
aluminum for the pivot/balance bar housing.
Do the math and you'll find that in a panic stop, there can be nearly 1000lbs force on the mounting points. Not someplace to be cutting corners.
