Just about to weld in my tunnel and am wondering how wide the area is that you have for your feet. Maybe how wide(inside dim) size feet and if its comfortable enough?

Not the exact answer you are looking for.. but relevant I hope? My tunnel is standard as per the book and there is not a lot of clearance around the gearbox... especially the gearbox support bracket. So what I am saying is.... In my opinion it would be wrong to make the tunnel smaller than standard unless you are using a different setup.. for example a bike engine.

my chassis and running gear is quite different -much longer wheelbase, 2.3lturbo (similar to the xr4ti) t5 tran, and 7.5 inch rear. If I come from the firewall at an 45deg angle and then bring the tunnel back at an angle from there I can have almost 14 inches of foot room at the pedals. I am only worried about strenghth being I want as much stiffness as possible.
