Hi all,
Can anyone tell me what the distance is from the bottom of the curved bar to the angled join that forms the upward pointing bar they joins to make the
top suspension mounting/ rollbar mounting.
my chassis hasnt got it on yet and i cant find a reference to it in the book.
I've got to do mine too.... might have to hold the wings in place and follow the curve. Fitting the metal where appropiate.
Bugger, i was hoping that wasnt the case!, i do not have the rear arches yet, and was notnplanning to get them for a while. anyone got any more info? maybe a few dimensions and a radius?
I'm sure someone knows... its just whether or not they can be bothered to tell us
Mine's not done either.
Thing is, it depends on the radius of the wings which is going to vary per manufacturer isn't it?
Unless there's a Locost GRP standard we weren't aware of!
Cheers,
James
i want to use MK rears, does that narrow it down at all?
I didnt even bother making/fitting that bit, I just made some ali panels cut to shape to 'fill' the gap left by the wheel arches.
HTH Stu.
Doesn't that mean a good percentage of the wing isn't fixed to anything substantial?
I don't know quite what dimensions you mean, but mackie has a CAD model of a mcsorley 7+4 chassis.. should be the same as book apart from width
measurements I think.
If you drop him a u2u explaining what you're after he should be able to take the measurement from CAD.

That is true lol my front wings are very tight to my tyres... might have to rethink the mountings!!!! Gonna have a go at the rear arches soon, well at least try and get the curved bar in !
Stu,
thought it would matter with yours especially when the chinook comes looking for a place to land!
