Basically wanted to know what was the best thing to use at pivot points? I was told rose joints are the best but that they make the ride harsh for normal use and are expensive whereas bushes are better but tend to move about. Any one know which would be best and where I can buy them?
I shouldn't bother with rose joints, they'll make the ride unnecessrily harsh, plus they're nowhere near as durable as bushes. The vast
majority of locosts, westfields, caterhams, daxs and any other 7 clone you care to mention have bushes, and you'd be hard pushed to find someone
who complains about the handling of any of them.

Rose joints (or spherical bearings to give them their proper name) will give a very precise feel to the car's handling at the expense of ride
quality.
Poly bushes will still give quite a precise feel, but will improve the ride quality.
Metallastic bushes (rubber bonded to metal) will give the least precise handling, but the most comfortable ride quality. Hence why normal road cars
are fitted with them.
Your choice will depend on several factors....
1. What are your wishbones/chassis designed for?
If you have purchased wishbones they will be designed to take spherical bearings or bushes.
2. What will the car be used for?
If your building a track day car then rose joints would be a better choice, but for road use poly bushes would be the better choice (IMHO).
3. How much can you afford?
Spherical bearings are considerably dearer than poly bushes and will probably wear quicker as well.
For spherical bearings have a look at Merlin Motorsport or your local BSL branch.
For poly bushes Stuart Taylor or MK Engineering should be able to supply what you need.

What about the shocks? spherical bearings or bushes?
I've got poly bushes on the wishbones but I've only seen shocks with rubber bushes or sph bearings. Whats the verdict??
Avo's do polybushes. I know, I've got em fitted to mine (and they come at no extra cost....).
