MK chassis & 'Blade engines

Hello All,

Yet another wad of questions for you…

After some alarming quotes from the ‘nice’ insurance people I’ve come to the conclusion that at present the RV8 option should be shelved. However, the Fireblade engine option seems very attractive after being offered an engine and accompanying bits at a reasonable price and some very good insurance quotes.

I like the look of the MK Indy chassis, from the pictures I’ve seen and what I’ve read it seems like a good option. My questions are these:

1. Has anyone tried the MK electric reverse kit? – Does it bolt onto the diff?
2. How does the ‘Blade engine mount onto the chassis?
3. Is the exhaust system sourced from Stuart Taylor? – Any good?
4. Do MK sell a suitable propshaft to match the Sierra diff and electric reversing kit?
5. Is it worth buying a gear linkage kit? – Would it be better to make my own?

Any help is gratefully received

Cheers!

1) No..........Dunno
2) Not sure in an MK, i made mounts not disimular to those used on a car engine, used suspension bush's for a bit of movement.
3) Not sure, but you may have to cut n shut to follow chassis line with your silencer.
4) Would have thought so, but its not hard to do.
5) Depends on cost to buy, mine cost £8 to make.

there thats my thoughts.....
