wanted to check a few dimensions with you guys

I have built a jig to locate my front uprights with respect to my chassis and pickups point.

Its showing me 6" of ground clearance below the bottom chassis rail. how does this compare with other peoples chassis.

Also i have taken a dimension from the centre of rotation of the bottom ball joint to the centre of the lower wishbone pickup. This is coming out at 510 mm. It looked way too long to me how does this compare with others wishbones?

FYI I'm building a 7+442 with miata(mx5) track width

Hi Liam,

I think a generally accepted ride height is 4" front and 5" rear.

It depends most on your componentry IMO.

How low is your sump below your front chassis legs?

With regard to the track width, I would happily measure mine for you but I think you are best off considering the MX5 width and then work out your geometry using a string computer or something similar?

what you have described is exactly what ive done, worked out the geometry from the componentry and string computer

as for ride height i made a mistake it actually came out at 130mm
