mcsorley chassis with dedion rear
fester - 8/12/03 at 06:38 PM

Hi all;
Is anybody out there building an mcsorley chassis with a deDion rear susp. setup?
I am delaying ordering steel for my build until I can find out which combination is best for a roadgoing sierra/granada based project.
Is the granny track wider than the sierra?
Which setup will be best for a purely roadgoing car?

Any advice will be a great help
Thanks, Fest.

Look at the GTS dedion kit, we are probably going to use it.

Yes I'm building a McSorely 7+4 with a bit of a hybrid de-dion setup which is largely of my own making albeit based on an old MK Engineering design.

I strongly recommend the de-dion design as a good alternative against searching for old live axles from escorts or cortina's and then trying to find a cheap LSD diff for them.

GTS Tuning have a good reputation and their de-dion design looks good and is reasonably priced. If I didn't have my own axle I would buy it from GTS.

Cheers,
Craig.

ps. Check my website for details of my build. http://www.craig.chamberlain.name
