Must be using Helium in the tyres
The guy is a politician, must be, I find what he's saying a tad unbelievable.
500Kg would be astonishing, There's a guy with bottomless pockets (that I meet at a local sprint) who has a road-going narrow with a VX lump in
it, all the light bits and short-cuts. He achieves 500Kg or so.
Funny thing a lot of people seem to spend thousands taking a few Kg off a car and then lower their lardy heaving ass into the seat (not this guy
though, he's very serious).

Hi there is a BEC one that comes in at 375kg. The target for the sprinters is to get down too 500KG. But they can be done as full road cars taxed and
mot with full screen and get down too 490kg.
There was a Sylvia striker that was built for 750 kits that was built as low as 470kg with a X/flow in it. That was when the MIN weight was then
introduced into the formula for the next season .
Cheers Matt
Hi motorcycle_mayhem i assume that car you talk about is Ash masons. That comes in at 492kg i belive.

You can get a Westfield down to 500kg or a little less with a car engine in it if its a narrow body car. I have had a wide body car on my scales that was 500 kg but quite a bit of cheese holing was done and the Vx engine had had quite a lot of unnecessary lugs and stuff cut off the engine. 600kg is more normal for a road going Westfield 400kg for a car engine car is a joke.
Ah, pub weight, the illigitmate daughter of pub horsepower!
I remember on blatchat(where else?) a guy with a neck like a birthday cake asking if he should drill the centres out of the aluminium bolts holding
his back wings on!
Cheers
Chris
I remember reading that one of the heaviest components of a car was the nut holding the steering wheel - and also one of the most dangerous!
