Hi
Just looking at the Caparo T1 website. What stunning car, didin't realise it was a 2 seater!!
So not knowing what i'm talking about how difficult would it be to create something similar looking but affordable? you could dith the canopy
for an aeroscreen etc and simplify the bodywork to make it easier to produce panels
I'm just spouting ideas and i bet there are plenty of reasons why it couldn't be done but what engine packages etc could you use?
There seem to be plenty of peole on here who seem really good at making moulds etc.
I for one would love to build an afforable version of this it loks stunning. I bet there is enough people with various skills on this forum to pull
it off (i'll make tea)
Over to you lot for ideas and potential problems.

Perfectly doable.....just LOTS of work....no good reasons at all why it couldn't be done...just time and dedication.
Personally, I couldn't bring myself to do and exact/close copy of anything really...not that I could do any better.....however to use it as
inspiration is another thing..
Well, you would probably be best to use an inline engine and gearbox, Audi A4 etc would be the best donor. Transverse engine no good with that shape.
Bike engine might be OK.
Windscreen wiper is going to be a problem, whatever the shape of the screen/canopy. Might be better to do it as an open car without screen.
It's quite a long car, I note.

I wouldn't consider a direct copy just something which takes some of the great ideas just as the front wing with inbuilt mirrors and lights and
then add a touch of originality.
Also more practical reagarding ride height etc but i think it would be a great car.
Wouldn't have a clue where to start with chassis design etc but as above there are plenty of people on here with the talent and the skills.
length probably not helped by the fact the people sit off set increasing the length
i think someone on here has built one that is a two seater

You need a Furore F1 !!!! & I did mine a long time b4 they did theirs, also mine doesn't burst into flames or have the floorpans drop off.
I'd beg to differ about the Caparro being a 2 seater tho', it would take me & Richard Hammond, but I'd love to see them get 2
blokes Clarkson's size in there!!!
