Not a Phoenix, but "Chippy" on here has just fitted the same engine in his car (Locost) so may be a useful source of info.

Compared to some other lumps it's not the biggest but the height will be the main factor. Clairetoo is running a Alfa V6 in her Fury (which is a very small chassis) and she has had to resort to a 'bulge' - If you want it to go in it will...

Marvellous - thanks chaps. That's a big help

I figured a big bulge would be a pre-requisite: If it could be done without looking too 'frankenstein's monster' that'd be great, otherwise I'd have to consider a slightly shorter powerplant, methinks.

Herman,
I looked at a 24V cossie engine, but they are very wide as well. I opted for the 12V instead, and with a sump modification (as per the book) will fit nicely into a book chassis. Im not sure about the Phoenix, but certainly on mine, its a nice fit.

I know where you can get bits and even an engine. Theres a guy called Spikies Scorpios in Upminster. Really helpful guy. U2U me for info.
