Just to check i'm taking the correct part up on friday to exchange, does the MK Indy uses a modified sierra rack or escort MKI/II?

Its the sierra rack you need,MK shorten it by a few inches.

For definative answer I suggest contacting the MK steering rack owners club.

The sierra stearing rack is required.

Remember to bring the extension piece that sits on top of the rack. The piece thats about 10" long and has the clamps each side. The name is on the tip of my tounge!

I forgot mine but was given a piece to lengthen it myself.

MK will extend your intermediate shaft as well as shortening the rack.

Beware though that there are two types of intermediate shaft, one can be extended, one cannot.

You need the earlier type which is a 10" unit with a 8-10mm dia shaft with UJs at either end.

My 'G' reg 1.8L Sierra had a later collapsible type that cannot be modified by MK. MK forgot to tell me this so to avoid disappointment, make sure you acquire the correct type to take with you.
