Donor Info.

Hi guys,
I am about to put my tiger cat in for the SVA. But yup until now i have kept the donor car alive. In reality most of it has been sold or used and is only alive in paper terms. Is there any information i need before ticking the scrap box and sending the V5 back to swansea? I have only kept it alive this long out of paranoia and provenance for the major bits. I guess i could scan the V5 and capture anything before scrapping?
I think its definatlely time to get rid or i would imagine i start on new set of problems when i try and register the engine to a different car.
Cheers,
Neill

Hang on to the V5 and give it to DVLA when you register the new car. This is how you get an age-related plate (if that's what you're after).

Edit: Oh yeah, welcome!

Dont declare it scrap even if you dont have the car anymore. make sure it is SORN so you dont get stung for no tax. After that use the V5 when registering the kit if you want an age related plate.

When we registered ours, the local DVLA kept the original V5 for the donor vehicle and we wrote to DVLA at Swansea to confirm we had scrapped the vehicle.
