Can I ask if your steering column requires couplings to enable a non-direct route to the steering rack where you would source such items etc.

i.e I have seen some hiyabusa engined
kit cars which have a steering column which goes around the houses to say the least but have no idea where to source such items.

any advice greatly appreciated.

Mine has one uj coupling between column and rack, which is quite a common setup. Depending on the route dictated by the engine bay layout, you could use more than one although it can make it a bit stiff.
