Your version of Adobe is out of date, and/or your printer drivers. Update both.

I had similar with my wife's cross stitch patterns, evil horrible things they were. Had to go right up to the very latest heavyweight bloated version of Adobe to print them properly before we got rid of the squares.

As above, it sounds to me like you may need to update Adobe viewer to get what you're after.

Odd though as Adobe usually prompts you to upgrade by itself.

One other issue may be scaling the document to print on one piece of paper. I've had issues before where it was printing in the wrong scale and odd things were being output.

I used Foxit free for a while and was so happy with it that I bought a license to get more functionality. Excellent PDF program.

I'd say email to me, print it and post it back to you, but that seems a long winded way of going about it!
