flatshifter fitting

am struggling fitting the actuator to my car as there just isnt enough travel on the gear selector arm for it to work correctly! can you buy an extended arm? or is it just a case of bolting on something to extend it to give it more travel? cheers

can you fit it closer to the pivot point?
that will mean you need less travel

it needs moving further away!
the rod on the actuator has 1" travel either direction (up/downshift) and needs to ust the full amount. i currently have around 1/2" travel and it wont work correctly. i can either get it to a position where i get only upshifts or only downshifts but not both! cheers

I had the same problem with the Kliktonic, that needed 25mm each way. I bolted a strip along the gear lever to give
enough movement. It used the last hole in this pic. The lever is a Pit Bike one from ebay, about £8.

Hi,
If you use the standard gear selector arm with the shorter than 25mm of travel you will overload the actuator and possibly burn it out, as the load required to change gear will be considerably higher.
