once and for all

It would appear that some members on here are hopefull that despite mistakes on 2gether policies that a claim would go through ok as it is the insurance company that would sort the claim and not the broker.I am not convinced that would be true.I think I need to get some professional advice as I have two cars insured with them and not happy with the policy mistakes. This year I will source another broker as despite £100,000 spent on an admin system mistakes are still being made

I won't be going back to 2gether!!

sounds like a wise move.

I wonder if they are doing it so they hope you dont notice and they dont have to pay out.

I HATE INSURANCE COMPANIES!!!!

if i understand them right, 2gether are a broker, and therefore do not make the payout. they get paid a comission from the insurance company for sending the business to them. but in the event of a cliam, its the insurance co that pay out, NOT the broker.

but i've not had dealings with them, so probably wrong

Correct......... but they're the ones you will be relying on to correct their own screw ups if the insurance company doesnt pay out because of their admin error.

blakep82 - 10/3/10 at 07:15 PM

yes, but they won't be getting any gain for any mistakes. they'll have got their comission anyway, whether its right or wrong, so its not in their interest to get the details wrong

Has anyone made a claim through 2gether insurance, maybe they could shed some light on how things went.
Brad.

As I've said before this is just like any other company out there. Some people get good service other people get bad service.

For what it's worth, I've had very good service from them.

ETA: Just checked my policy and it says my Westy has 5 seats Can't see how that is going to make a blind bit of difference in a claim.

The insurance company has a contract with you to insure a five seater westfield. That's what they quoted you for (via their agent). That's what you paid for. If the details are wrong, and the onus is on you to correct them not the insurance company, the contract could be void. Going through an incompetent agent does no remove your responsibility to fully inform the insurer. You can't be confident that you are definitely insured. That's what westf27 is on about.
And yes, 2gether have got their commission so short term it doesn't matter a toss to them if they get it wrong.

2GETHER INS - 6/4/10 at 07:47 PM

I will be very clear, 2gether Insurance are a specialist Insurance provider and yes we DO GIVE A TOSS about our clients before, during and after a claim. Yes many people claim everyday through polices arranged by us and are dealt with to the standards expected.

Perhaps if more users posted a fair reflection on the policies through 2gether it would give a more balanced view point.

One of the first users we Insured claimed for a total loss with about a month of Insuring with us and received a full payout with great service.

We have just renewed our sponsorship and will continue to offer our superb service and policies to Locost Users.

In terms of Major errors on paperwork, ther will not be any, if there are minor amendments required then I think you will find that these are common place unlike some users which have Insured there bike engine Kit cars with A Nother broker and has been prven internally that the Other broker did Mis Insure the User and a few others.

Please do not paint a picture that over inflates any minor issues you may have. Try calling us to discuss them
