Hi, getting my dad a helmet this week seeing as its his birthday. He would like an open face one but being a seven without a roof or wind shield and main use being for a track day does it have to be full face or not?
Cheers
Adam

dont bother with an open face one if you have no wind protection.

just my opinion

i would certainly go with a full face and don't be a tight ar$e, treat him to a balaclava as well to stop him from getting a wind chill on his neck!

full face all the way as as alex says, a balaclava too. i always use one, as my ear lobes always try to rip themselves off

No, it does not have to be full face.

oh yeah, i forgot the original question. it doesn't have to be full face, i on an open car with no windscreen etc, i wouldn't have anything less than full face

Try a Nolan N43 Air Classic, best of both worlds. Open face or full face in one helmit.

An open helmet with a full screen is ok. So without the chinprotection. You need the screen to stop wind, but also pieces of rubber, parts, gravel, stones etc.
