Hi all i am going the southport for a week and just wondered if there was any thing worth looking/ to do at, apart from blackpool been there
Yea...pick my new seats up from JK Composites
Glassplies are worth a visit if you need any fibreglass or resin. you get extra discount for good old pound notes
Think that's the two highlights covered!
Crosby beach - Anthony Gormley iron men statues "Another Place"
there is a new development on the front which is a nice walk with a cinema and an ice rink (or there was a few years ago)
Lord street is nice for window shopping, and on a saturday the front (near the big carosell) fills up with bikes - its a bit of a gathering spot.
there are a few waterbird spotting places round that way, cant think of the names now sorry...
close by you have preston which has arrive and drive karts, as does burscough if you are bored on a weekend/evening.
few decent bars in southport - an old favorite is mallonies (ground floor of a hotel on lord street) it has cocktail waiters who throw the bottles
around and stuff, and tends to get quite busy.
The zoo and the amusement park closed down a few years ago.
There isn't a great deal to do, but it is pleasent enough.
Scouse port It's had its day that place. Shame we used to go all the time as kids in the campervan and park on the sand and play cricket with the big old roller coaster in the background.
I used to love it as a kid. My brother and I would run around the fun house for hours. Apart from the big beach and the boating lake I don't suppose there's much to do there. Apparently there's good shopping there, if you're a girl.
not alot to do trust me better off going into liverpool or preston
dont forget 3 sisters track not that far away
ps ice ring gone
also i think kart place in burscough was closed down i can find out if you want
when are you over and i can see if anything else is on for you
