Peugeot key fob
ChrisW - 8/4/04 at 10:11 AM

Any Peugeot experts on here know how to program a new key fob into a phase 1 306? I know it's some sequence of locking and unlocking ignition on/off but I can't remember it exactly. Much appreciated if anyone knows - I'm sure Peugeot will know how to charge to do it for me!

Cheers,

Chris

vaux is simple, key in ign, switch to full (without starting!) and press one or both buttons.

prob no use whatsoever though, I don't know if it will completely scramble it and alert the cops if you do it wrong tho!

Hi Chris, it's in the owner's handbook if you've got it. If not I'll look at mine this evening and let you know.

It's something along the lines of turning on the ignition to ACC with another key then pointing you new key at the sensor and holding one/other/both buttons for a few seconds.

Matt.

I couldn't see it in my book, but maybe I didn't look hard enough I'll have a fiddle with it later anyway and see if I can work it out.

In my book it's halfway down page 12 - titled "Deadlocking the doors and tailgate"!

Quote:
To Program the remote control keys:
- The doors must not be locked
- Turn another key in the ignition to position 2 "A" for accessories
- Bring the remote key you wish to program to within 10cm of the reciever (near interior rear-view mirror on hatchback, not sure about cab?)
- Press button 1 or 2 withing 10 seconds of turning the key in the ignition
- Turn off the ignition
- Test key and repeat procedure if it fails to work.

HTH,
Matt.
