Zetec crank pulley

What's the best way of getting the crank pully bolt out to fit my trigger wheel, how do I stop the engine turning, would putting it in gear do

in gear (1st maybe though it shouldn't really matter) and with handbrake on, that engine won't be turning at all

If the above does not work, remove the starter motor, put a G-clamp onto the flywheel and let it wedge against the bell housing.

why put a trigger wheel on a zetec? It has a standard trigger wheel on the flywheel. Unless you fitted a CVH one.

Good guess Werner, I did fit a CVH one to save weight, hence the need for the trigger wheel

Jam tee bar against chassis and flick the key and bingo its done, make shaw you have it on the right side.

the later comment is best used as a last resort though. It is a very effective method though. I used this method and copious amounts of heat to remove the crank pulley on my Austin

Decent air wrench !

i agree with Rusty. A good air impact wrench does it.
