Evening all

Can anyone recommend me the jet size for my pinto zx9r conversion?

It's a 2.1 by the way.

I did bike carbs on a zetec
Mines on 1.8mm and its running great
I know pintos are a bit more thirsty
What i did was buy a modellers drill bit kit, drilled them out to 1.6-tried it , then 1.7 etc till i got it right
I then bought a set of jets in the size ide drilled them to give as good a spray pattern as poss
Theyre weber dgav jets so less than a tenner for all 4
This was the easiest way without buying loads of jets
Well worth the faffing imo , transformed the car

most folk seem to start around 1.6mm and see how it goes from there

I think that's whats in mine, bogg bros did them for me as there best first guess to get the engine running with a trip to there rollers planned for when the cars on the road

Most model drills can be way out ...
Always use a vernier - measure them them for their true size.

Thanks for the advice.

I'll have to have a play around and go from there. I'm going to have it set up on rollers anyway.

150pc Precision Mini Micro Drill Bits, Suitable For Craft, Model, Hobby, Etc

They vary in accuracy - need to measure them before use ..

it always pays to check them - but as a general rule the better brands will have better tolerances and last much longer than the cheap nasty made in China stuff

the good ones may cost £1 - £2 each, but you only need 3 or 4 drills
