Are these worth it / correct?
I have been slowly building up a pile of bits to get my 750mc locost project back upto speed however due to work I haven't had time to sort out
the steel for the wishbones and i have seen these on ebay:
Wishbones
I am just wondering is anyone can tell me if these are to 'book' dims and secondly if any one has had any of these and could comment on
the quality?
many thanks,
Dan

Yep I think they are worth it.
They are made by Mat of the old luego. So I am guesing there are a few sets out there in use.
I would of had a set but I wanted some 2" wider so made my own. They cost me about £30 using cds and about a week of spare time. Not as hard as
you think if you trust your welding.
Edit as for quality, I had my axle brackets welded on before I could weld and the quality was A1 but bloody dear.

That's matt from the old luego so you wont go far wrong quality wise!
Would assume they are book dimensions fairly sure the luego was developed from the book chassis drop him a mail to confirm.
To slow again

Hi Dan.
I am not 100% sure if they are the correct fitment for the book chassis. But even if they where they are the original Luego desighn and manufacture.
This gives 2 problems. 1. The top arm is not long enough meaning that there is insufficient thread located in the arm it's self meaning they
will NOT pass scruitineering. ( Hence all Luego cars racing had to upgrade top arms )
2. they where prone to bending on the bottom arm. There was a statement released to all competitor a few years ago regarding the two manufacturers of
wishbones that where bending on a regular basis. Although they will not fail scruitineering for being the type that is prone to bending it obviously
is not a good idea to use them.
Later replacement items where made to a different desighn and supplied by Steve Hills LRC motorsport. U2U me if you need his contact details. I think
you may already have them.
Cheers Matt
