Camber Adjusters (reaming tube?)

I know this has been asked before but I want to just check what the wall thickness is of the tubes for the upper wishbones. I have std transit adjusters and have purchased some of the camber adjuster sleeves. The diameter of the finished tube ie painted is 25.55 and the adjuster OD is 21.6. By the time I loose the paint lets say the tube is 25mm. So reaming out will give me a wall thickness of about 1.5mm? Trying to save a few quid but not at the expense of saftey and a re-paint of the upper wish bone?

thanks
Dave B

Ideally you should have about 3mm. I remade my wishbones as 1.5 mm compomises safety. There are other options i.e. cut the tube out of the wishbone and replace with larger wall thickness, making a simple jig to keep the relative positions, or cover the existing tube with a larger diameter tube, you would have to split this tube and weld on to the wishbone.
hope this helps.
