Engine is in
trial fitted engine today and made engine mounting plates - measured up, tacked and fitted engine and its spot on 2" underhang - a bit much,
but cant really do much about that due to ally sump and it sits perfect in the bay and the gearbox sits perfect aswell.
was gonna have the chassis rolling today, but screwfix sent my order which ANC couriers LOST so couldnt make bits i needed be reight - another
parcel on its way now for tomorrow morning yum
so a bit of a backwards weekend - the chassis will be rolling on the front tomorrow and due to a slight change in ideas and design, i'm orering
a de-dion axle from GTS racing - cheers Darren for the info you emailed me
next up is take engine out, fit wishbone mounts and paint chassis using nice antirust paint - yummmmmmmy

Paul, at risk of appearing dim, whyfor are you using transit tie rod ends when the norm seems to be to use transit drag link ends? Is there a secret
here we should all know?
Cheers, Steve.

no secret - the TRE you can get slightly better adjustment when setting the camber - with the draglink, it's 1 turn - with the TRE it is any
degree as you adjust it with the threaded bar aswell
might just be me been petty tho.

lol
well if you think about it - you use a draglink with a threaded rod welded onto it, you will never get the camber spot on unless you are lucky - it
will always be slightly over or under what you desire - with a TRE and a threaded bar, you can adjsut it perfectly
this is providing you use a left handed thread on the threaded insert on the wishbone and a right hand thread on the TRE
cheeper aswell!!!!!!! lol

OR if you dont thread the insert on the top wishbone and use it as a sleeve with a locking nut at each end then you can get infinate adjustment there
aswell - not too sure on the safety of that idea tho - cant see it been a problem as its used on heavy machinery and buses and wagons the idea
