Reviving partly rusty chassis
Right, after 2 years under a tarp on the drive, the por15 on my chassis has come off in places leading to surface rust, fairly extensive but not
disastrous.
Any advice on how to proceed? My current plan is clean up as best I can, then hit it with more por15 and hope it sticks, but open to better ideas.
P.S. Currently at the point of rolling chassis, engine in, wiring and plumbing half done, so stripping it down and starting over isn't a great
option, especially as I'm currently garage-less.
Cheers.

My inclination would be to firmly wire brush the affected areas, and surroundings, and repaint (ideally on a warm, dry day)

POR15 sticks to rust a lot better than it does to clean metal anyway.

lol!
Just don't revive 'that' thread....
There's too many conservative* prudes on this site and it'll only cause trouble again!

POR15, the clue's in the name. Paint on rust Don't prime it first.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
