if you have the chassis plans can you not just add up all the lengths?

I am just being lazy, got the plans at home, but wanted to order some steel....

It is not for the 7 chassis.. but wanted that as a rough guideline

BOM and cutting list of a book chassis are here:
http://mcsorley.net/locost/drawings/BookChassis.xls

Total steel is 1210 inches, i.e. around 31m in new money.

There is some waste so you'll be buying more than that in standard lengths. Or buy a chassis kit from one of the suppliers.
