i've been looking into this recently and their doesn't seem (from what i've found) to be one.

My plan (unless something pops up in this thread) is to measure the width of my shoulders and, errm, do them about that wide.

I'd be tempted to get your seats first, you don't want to be putting any strain on the harness slots unneccesarily.
If you are going for low backs, do what Mike said (worked for me too ).

From memory, all that IVA requires is that the anchor points are at a certain level, and not the distance apart. I would imagine cecause some harnesses have one strap at the top and split into two for the shoulder straps.

I think the iva manual states a height from a block resting on the seat and a minimum of 140mm from the seat centreline for the top mounting/s
well worth checking it out before welding in wrong place

if you get the chance - look up the austrialian rules on this ....

they state based on your own body the position (height). i've just sat in mine and my shoulders are about 4" higher than the top of the chassis rail. This would then concern me that in a crash my body would try to go forward and the lower mountings would put pressure on my spine. The msa rules reconmend a 10 degree slope although i think they'll allow a larger slope (40 degrees?)
