Frame question

For what irts worth, i think an area for questions on the book is fine, everytime i come back to site,a red icon tells me whats new, so i dont miss nowt.
Anyways, my question is this... have tacked chassis and have found that it is 13and1/8th instead of 13" high. Will this be a problem or will I shorten H sections.
I believe maybe the metric RHS has caused this error? ie 25.4mm

Hornet,

I guess this was my point.

What if someone was building something not quite to book but was an absolute chassis expert, but only read the chassis section?
You could miss out on the best answer.

A lot of the best help is from guys who have finished their cars, and I'm concerned they may not read everything.

If it were me I'd definitely put this in the chassis section.

But of course entirely IMO.

2 parts to this:

First, I agree with Alan - the whole site is aimed at Locosts, so we only need a few extra sections for 'variations'.

Second, an extra eighth on the height will not stop your Locost working properly - but you will have to remember it when you cut panels, etc.

'Fraid I agree with both of you- sorry ChrisW!

The more you subdivide the more likely people will miss stuff they might want to read or you might want them to read (if asking for help etc.)

Cheers,

James

P.S. Let's just have one section, put everything in one post after another, make it completely impossible to back track a post. We could use Yahoo groups to host it of course- and then add a load of stroppy techno-nazis aswell.
Oh no, there's already one of those! (TOL)

as well as being a top bloke, he has raced for years and built a lot of cars. His philosophy on chasis errors will put your mind to rest.

Hi guys

I think that the number of topics, etc is really an issue.
This is no blame to Chris but we (I) sometimes have some difficulty in reading the topics which are interesting; have you noticed the number of initialized topics with one (1) msg?
Many topics are redundant so why not keep things alike together? Just a thougth!...
