It's well worth it.
The finish of what ever covering you put on the chassis, ALL depends on how well you prep the chassis first.

My powder coating is begining to peel off. It wasn't shot / sand blasted first.

Rusty Nuts has just stripped his car to the chassis after 3 years on the road, having the same problem.

Believe me its worth the money to have the chassis done properly.
Blasting will clean and key the surface, then what ever you put on will stick to it properly.

Dont skimp!

I haven't posted before as I don't know of anyone in Kent.

My local company is Airblast (East Anglia) just north of Braintree.
This would be a one hour drive from Dartford for you so maybe too far.
M25, A12, take the Witham turn off to Braintree. Gosfield is about 5 miles further on.

( I used to know a girl called the Witham turn off, but that's another story. )

He quoted me £150 to blast some (4m + 2m wide) farm gates and paint one coat of zinc phosphate primer.

Contact by phone and speak to Brian. (google airblast east anglia)

Sorry, but this the best I can do.

Cheers
