Chassis build

Hi all

I am brand new to the forum and this is my first post. I have been dreaming of building a locost since the first book came out and have bought all the books since then and continued dreaming. Well, with a bit of luck, this summer may be the one when I finally get to start building. I have seen a few comments online that some of the tube dimensions in the books are inaccurate. I will probably use the Haynes Roadster book as I would like IRS so can any of you confirm which, if any tubes are wrong and if so what the correct measurements should be? I tried looking through the forum for the information but couldn't find a suitable post although I am sure it's there somewhere.

Thanks a lot and if the build starts as planned I am sure I will become a regular fixture on here as I muddle my way through building my future dream machine!

Cheers

Matt

Joins the Haynes forum, all the amendments to the book are on there. Best of luck and have fun!

Welcome to the madhouse.
No reason why you cant stay on here as well. There are lots of helpful people with a wealth of information and willing to share it with you.
The Haynes forum would be a must if you build a Haynes Roadster. But why not here as well. Have the best of both worlds!

Also could you put your approx location in your profile as it helps a lot when people offer help or parts etc.

This is one of the best forums around. I think you would find it useful to stick around here as well.

Good Luck with the build.
