Seatbelt nuts
Having a bad morning. About to weld the seatbelt fixing points CP8 onto the chassis. Are they M12 stainless I should be using? Can't find it in
the book and its driving me mad. Guessing M12 from the 12mm diameter in the cutting schedule.

All seat belt bolts are 7/16 unf and remember to remove any plating before you weld it.
You can not weld stainless to mild steel even if it looks like you have it will not hold and remember these are seat belt mounts!

I was led to believe the welding of any of the bolts to the chassis was more to just hold them in place as when u bolt into it the nut is held by the
plate and the weld does nothing as the plate is holding the nut between the nut and bolt

Really,
Ive never heard that before, I understand it needs the correct wire/filler choice, but it can be done.
