mx5 engine and gear box in "book chassis"
I have a luego locost which as far as i know is "book dimensions" i have a xflow at present, i have been planning on a zetec conversion
with a type 9 gearbox over the winter but with the prices of decent gearboxs going up and up i have been considering a mx5 engine and gearbox
instead, any one done it in this chassis? Is it easy enough ? I cant find much info on here or else where. In the states theres a bit but that seems
to be from those that are building from sctatch with the engine in mind. Will the geatbox fit in easy enough? I dont mind a bit of cutting of a tube
or two but i dont want a whole redisign.i have a solid rear axle so i guessthe prop shaft would need to be made up but that wouldnt be a problem.also
can they be run on oe ecu's? I like the idea of stock ecu's where pos.and how much different is the 2.0 from the newer mx5? I presume its
the same as the ford duratec but with a rwd gearbox.
Very few things are "really" needed.
