floor rivit size and type

hi all
I am at the stage when I need to rivet the alloy floor to the frame
? what to use

I intend to use 1.5 mm half hard aluminium sheet and 4mm c/s aluminium pop rivet's with silicon sealant between.

any comment's would I be better using large head rivet's ? or steel rivet's ect

any advice welcome.

You don't want silicone but the proper PU sealant like sikaflex or tiger seal, floor and rivets sound fine.

aluminium rivit

should I be using steel rivet's or aluminium
or aluminium outer / steel inner

I used 4mm closed end aluminium. Get plenty of pu in the holes to help prevent galvanic corrosion.

This combo will NEVER come of. You only really need a few rivets on the corners to prevent peel the Pu is that good it sticks like s###t to a blanket

In fact you could go down a size to 3.2mm with your little car and save a few grams.
