Chassis makers

I was bidding for a chassis on ebay a couple of weeks ago to which i lost. The ppl emailed me. They say they are starting to make locost 'book' chassis. They are called A.R.A racing. Has anyone heard of them or are they on here??

There prices look very good.
This what they sent me.

Starter Package

This Pack supplies the basis for a Lotus seven inspired replica. Suitable for road or track use. The project is completed at home using the world famous Ron Champion book as a build guide. All components are of excellent quality, a solid basis for any project!


Fully bracketed ‘book’ chassis, powder coated in your choice of colour.
Pair front lower wishbones, powder coated in your choice of colour.
Pair front upper wishbones, powder coated in your choice of colour.
4 x trailing arms, powder coated in your choice of colour.
1 x panhard rod, powder coated in your choice of colour.
2 x Cortina lower ball joints.
2 x upper Transit ball joints.
Nut and bolt (suspension) pack.
Roll bar, powder coated in your choice of colour.
36 x rubber bushes (halfs) including metal inserts.
2 x ally floors.
2 x ally footwell ends.
1/8” ally rivet pack.

well, i would recommend going to their warehouses/factory to see for yourself. And obviously only pay cash on collection. There are loads of people on the lash via ebay, no point making it easy for them...

The price isn't that keen if you compare like for like with the other manufacturers.

Bare in mind that most manufacturers advertise a much more comprehensive kit than this including bodywork etc. If you add the missing parts to the £999, you start getting close.

Also the "book" stuff is pretty out of date these days. Anyone building to the book will tell you how many things need improving and this is what most of the main manufacturers have done. The likes of the GTS, Velocity and Indy have moved things on somewhat from this, and as such probably represent better or at least equal value for money.
